Thomas K. Donaldson, MD
Dr. Donaldon is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who has been in practice in the Inland Empire since 1991. He was born and raised in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, where his parents were active missionaries. He stayed in Puerto Rico until he was 18 and gained the ability to speak fluent Spanish, which has become a tremendous asset for his patients in Southern California. Dr. Donaldson received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1984. Closely following his graduation, he was privileged to spend a year with Dr. Merlin Hamer in Orthopedic Research at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1990 and then spent a year in specialty training in Adult Reconstruction-Joint Replacement at the University of Pittsburgh with Dr. Harry Rubash.
He still continues to perform and teach orthopedic surgery at Loma Linda University and remains the Director of Joint Replacement Surgery at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center in Loma Linda, California.
He is also recognized around the world and has been invited to speak and perform surgeries in many countries around the world including Germany, Austria, Spain, England, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico.
Dr. Donaldson and his wife Tanie have been married for over 20 years and have 3 wonderful children. They enjoy traveling and many activities such as scuba diving, snow skiing, horseback riding and water skiing,
just to name a few.
